The Recreation Board is responsible for outfitting, operating, and maintaining recreation programs and places in the Borough of Media. These include Summer Day Camp, annual holiday events, bus trips and discount tickets to sports and entertainment venues, and family and adult dances.

How can you get involved? Volunteer! We welcome all volunteers for events or projects. Have a favorite event that you attend? Why not help with planning, marketing or decorating? Just give a call or come to one of our meetings--1st Tuesday of each month at 7:30 p.m. in the 2nd floor conference room of Borough Hall.

Senior Aerobics
Every Wednesday
11:00-11:45 a.m. in the Community Center
Cost $3 per session. Advance sign-ups are not needed; seniors may pay when they go. Participants should wear sneakers and bring drinking water and a towel.

Summer Camp
June 28-August 6
9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. at the Media Youth Center
The Media Recreation Board is partnering with the Media Youth Center again this year. The Summer Camp will run for 6 one-week sessions at the Media Youth Center from Monday – Friday 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. Sessions will be held June 28-July, July 5-9, July 12-16, July 19-23, July 26-30, and August 2-6. The cost is $125 per week for out of borough residents and $85. Per week for Borough residents. Fieldtrips, swimming, games, art, and sports are included. Independence Day Celebration
Saturday July 3
10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. at Barrall Field
It is a day of food, fun, and entertainment. Live performance by Silly Joe. There will be a water slide, crafts and games for the kids. For more information, please contact the recreation office at 610-566-5210 x255.

Family Movie Night
Saturday, July 10 (raindate Sunday, July 11)
8:30 p.m. at Barrall Field
The movie will be announced later. The audience is encouraged to bring blankets or low back beach chairs to sit on. Media’s Family Movie Night recalls the age of the drive-in theater and is a safe, fun, and exciting community event for all ages. Children’s Tennis Camp
Weeks of Aug 16 and Aug. 23
This program is taught by Dan Sears. It is being held from 9-10 am for 7-10 years olds and from 10-11 am for 11-15 year olds. The cost is $10 a week for borough residents and $20 a week for out of borough residents. Tennis balls are provided but please bring your rackets.
