A word about staying safe in Media Borough: Keep your cars and homes locked!
Media Borough is a relatively safe place to live thanks to the borough police. Recently there have been some car break ins and thefts in the borough and surrounding communities. Media Borough Police remind residents and visitors to follow the following safety guidelines when visiting, working or living in the borough:
- Always keep your car doors locked
- Never leave your keys in your vehicle while the vehicle is empty - even if it’s only for a short period of time (ex. While picking up takeout food)
- Never leave valuables in your vehicle (even when locked) and if you must leave valuables in your car, make sure they are not visible to potential thieves
- Remember to lock all the windows and doors to your home, even while out for short periods of time
