Mark Paikoff was elected Media Borough Council President at the Borough Council Reorganization meeting in early January. Mark has lived in Media since 1997. He and his wife Miriam have raised their three children in the borough along with rescue dog Harry and Solomon the Gecko. His three children, Ezra, Zachary and Ava, have attended schools in Rose Tree Media School District with his two eldest currently enrolled at Delaware County Community College.
Prior to being elected to Council in 2021, Mark served on the Media Environmental Advisory Council and volunteered as a Delaware County poll observer during the 2020 election cycle. Mark currently teaches digital literacy, computer science and robotics in Philadelphia and serves as School Technology Coordinator for staff and students in grades K-8. He previously taught fifth grade in RTM and has also worked in pharmaceutical market research and journalism, both print and broadcast. Mark holds a BS in Communication from Cornell University, a MS Ed from the University of Pennsylvania in Elementary Education and a MS Ed from St. Joseph’s University in Education Administration. He is eager to hear from residents on ways the Borough can maintain and strengthen services and community connections.
