You may have noticed new parking kiosks in downtown Media that are replacing parking meters. The new  kiosks, which accept multiple forms of payment (coins, cash and credit cards) in addition to the Passport Parking app, will continue to replace on and off-street parking systems. 

**Park Smart, Shop Local: New Media Borough Ordinance Offers First 10 Minutes Free with App**

Beginning July 1, 2025, Media Borough will be offering the first 10 minutes of parking FREE while using the app in specific areas of the State Street District.  

The Media Borough Council has approved an ordinance that will benefit drivers in the State Street District. This new change was developed in response to feedback from Media Borough business owners and is aimed at making it easier for drivers to make a quick pitstop to pick up food, merchandise, or passengers along State Street (from Lemon to Gayley Streets and from Baker to Jasper Streets). By using the Passport Parking App to start a session, drivers can park in a metered space for 10 minutes without being charged. This applies to all paid parking spots in the business district, but only while utilizing the app.
